The Nirwana Bali Golf Club

Golf With A View

The Nirwana Bali Golf Club at Pan Pacific Resort, Bali was a golf experience of a lifetime.

A Greg Norman designed course providing dramatic views of the Indian Ocean and spectacularly overlooking the famous Tanah Lot, home to the pilgrimage island temple, aptly named the jewel of the Indian Ocean.

The course incorporates terraced rice paddies, rolling hills, cliff side tees and manicured Balinese style gardens. Fairways are flanked by working paddy fields and wetlands, and a tropical stream meanders the course, each creating natural hazards. The Nirwana Bali Golf Course 4th hole requires a short buggy drive from across the beach to a cliffside green, with the 7th hole offering spectacular views of the famous Tanah Lot pilgrimage island temple. Stunning!

We stayed on site at the Pan Pacific Nirwana Bali Resort, a luxurious 5 star 100-hectare resort built along a cliff side with spectacular views. Whilst set in a tranquil location away from the hustle and bustle of the island, the Pan Pacific was an ideal 2 night stay en route to Ubud. (Click to read our Ubud travel review here)

Tanah Lot can by reached by a cliff path from the golf course, allowing us to visit early morning before the tourists arrive and to revisit later in the day to watch the amazing sunset from one of the local cliff top bars. (Click to readย BALI โ€“ Restauraunts, hotspots and places to see)ย

As a popular tourist attraction, the area by the temple has developed into a thriving Balinese market with local artists and craft stalls sitting alongside local cliff top restaurants.

Tip: Take your camera! The ocean views, valleys, working paddy fields and cliff side terraces, photo opportunities are abundant.
